Welcome to the South Carolina Summary Court Judges Association's website. 

DERRICK F DASH here, and I have had the privilege of serving as a Magistrate in Orangeburg County since March of 1997.  I have been a member of the Association since becoming a Magistrate.  I have previously served as Vice-President under Past Presidents Judge Danny Singleton and Ryan Johnson; and I will now continue to serve as your President of this great organization.

My goals are the same as the previous administrations, and that is to foster respect and dignity within the association, its board of directors, as well as its members.  I will continue to react to everyone’s opinions and ideas as they become available.

Our association, founded in 1973, is a voluntary non-profit, and private association that serves as the coordinating agency between South Carolina Summary Court Judges and South Carolina Court Administration – (under the leadership of Chief Justice Donald W. Beatty).  We are dedicated to the improvement of the judiciary through the promotion of professionalism, education, and legislation affecting and effecting the Summary Courts and the administration of fair and equal justice in accordance with the law. 

We are well over 500 members strong.  We are a very talented group of Judges throughout this great state.
