Post provided by Judge Debi Culler, Scholarship Committee Chair-

Judges,

We are only a few weeks away from beach time at the SCSCJA Annual Convention.  Please remember to bring an auction item with you, something that represents your town/county or our wonderful state, or anything else you would like to donate.  This is our primary means of raising funds for scholarships for our fellow judges that might not otherwise be able to attend our programs.

WE HAVE OUR FIRST BIG TICKET ITEM!  A newly appointed part-time Chester County magistrate has donated a one-week stay at her charming cabin, The Love Shack, on Daufuskie Island, SC (see attached brochure).  Please share this information with your fellow judges that may not be attending the convention in case they would like you to bid on their behalf for this awesome vacation opportunity.

Also We have an Original Pawleys Island Single Rope Hammock donated by Judge Alan Walters. Very nice! see link below.

If you plan to donate an item or items for the auction, please shoot me an email (cullerd@clemson.edu) with a description of the item(s) and an approximate value.  We will use this information on the bid sheets.  We are also going to try to post the items on our website to allow judges who are not attending the convention to make arrangements to bid.

OH, AND BRING YOUR CHECKBOOK OR LOTS OF CASH TO THE AUCTION…WE DON’T TAKE DEBIT OR CREDIT CARDS!  (However, the Embassy Suites DOES have an ATM in the lobby!)

Bring your donations to registration and we’ll take it from there.  Thanks in advance for your contributions.
